We have a wealth of experience – Bigtank was established in 2005 and since then we have worked with hundreds of companies across the UK and beyond.

Rob Hallam
Rob is Managing Director of Bigtank and has been involved in the media industry for more than 20 years. After cutting his teeth in the Newsrooms of ITV, he worked up the production ladder before setting up Bigtank in 2005. Bigtank now has an established client base including brands such as Mercedes Benz Trucks, GA Foods, Polyflor and Frank Recruitment Group. Bigtank’s work is a combination of matching superb filmed and animated content with powerful stories that create engagement, impact and growth.
Rob would say he has the best job in the world at Bigtank – lots of travel (Bigtank has filmed all over Europe, the US, Canada, Japan, Russia and Mongolia) but also a strong customer base in his home county of Lancashire. ‘Best of all we get to work with fantastic individuals and companies in telling their stories and importantly, making sure those stories are heard and their businesses grow.’

Rob has been at Bigtank almost from the beginning, as its first ever member of staff he has been integral to the creative approach of many projects and continues to apply his talents of post-production across the board. Not only being a creative wizard, he is technically skilled and thrives in finding new applications for tech in his work, even once building his own computer in his lounge.

Clare Waterfall
Clare is key to making sure that the overall management of productions runs smoothly, a qualified teacher she has a passion for learning and nurturing new talent. Her background in education and administration makes her a Production Manager who is organised to the hilt and outside of work she is a proud member of the Ramsbottom Running Club. Clare organises fun runs and socials in the local community and frequently puts the crew to shame by running marathons and 10ks at the weekends.

Mark Joined the Bigtank team from a long career in the motor trade and brought years of experience with him. A family man from Helmshore he spends his time with his wife Emma and three children, playing footy with his son Oscar and loves exploring the outdoors in his local Rossendale valley. His career has seen him help companies grow from strength to strength and as a friend of the company, was a very welcome addition to the Tank Crew.

Post-production is his main responsibility, and he works closely with the team to create advanced motion graphics and video edits across all projects. His passion for creativity extends beyond his work at Bigtank. As a keen artist in a creative household he is never far away from a sketch book or pot of acrylic paints and has a strong Instagram following where his work for Warhammer is proudly displayed. No stranger to deadlines either, his art gets commissioned for shows year-round and is in strong demand by fellow enthusiasts meaning video edits are in safe hands.

Jenna makes up a strong team of post-production staff. Her work as an editor brings her into contact with brands of all shapes and sizes. A master of Photoshop, it was her design skills that made her stand out when recruiting for the position of Production Assistant. Coming from a digital background, she has a keen eye for detail and knows how to put a design together. Outside the confines of the office she is never far from her next adventure and is always exploring and seeking out new thrills; from tinkering with cars, exploring the world and even jumping out of planes!

Although all of our corporate video production and promotional film projects have a common goal – producing compelling and exciting content that viewers will want to watch, learn from and share, the methods of production vary depending on what skills and equipment we need to enlist to deliver the right results for our clients.
Some projects simply require a single camera operator with a 4K camera and sound kit whilst others require lots of specialist equipment like electronic camera stabilisers, drones and specific lighting rigs.
